Since our telephones are very busy during the morning, we ask you to ring for test results (eg blood, urine, x-ray) after 3:30pm each day.
To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
We have recently improved our communication with patients where there is action needed following a test result. If you require a repeat test, a prescription or a GP would like to discuss a non-urgent result with you, you may receive a letter informing you that this is the case. Please ring reception upon receipt of this letter and we will place you on the requesting doctor’s list. You will receive a ring back within 7-10 days. Please be reassured that if there were to be an urgent need for a consultation following a test that you have had, a clinician would initiate the contact via telephone.
